I have been sucked into the madness. I thought that once we went through several shops that we would see the same thing over and over, not so. The stores are getting better and better.
By better, I mean the quality of things, like t-shirts that have embroidery with very nice flowers, animals and scenery. All kinds of knick knacks and doodads that are artistic and beautiful.
I try not to go in the shops, however the window displays suck me in and suddenly i am inside once again. We have bought a number of objects that we will use to hang on our everyday and holiday tree. These things are decorative, colorful, fun and will remind us of our trip. Hard to resist earrings, I have bought some very different and beautiful sets.
The hotel we were given for the night is very nice and has a great view of water and mountains. So far I am impressed with the quality of this trip and feel we got a great deal for what we spent.
We will be taking a train trip tomorrow through a mountain range, should be awesome.
I am experiencing 'land legs'. Both Nita and I feel we are still on the ship and feeling movement. When I was walking in the museum I was getting a little sea sick from this movement and had to sit down. The odd thing is, I was aware of motion on the ship but did not experience these strange sensations. I was beginning to wonder if the earth was shaking since Alaska has lots of earthquakes. Hope it goes away soon.
