The cruise has been wonderful so far. We are doing a good job of mixing relaxing time and exploring the ship and our first port. We have 4 more ports and our stay in Alaska, and we feel it is important to make sure we relax.
The thalassotherapy pool is delightful. The jets make big bubbles instead of forced water streams. These bubbles, as I lay in the pool, are massaging my body. Very nice. I have been twice and intend on returning daily.
There is some form of entertainment going on all the time. Prior to dinner yesterday, after the martini bar experience, we heard a band playing and sat for awhile listening to them and watching some folks dancing.
Tomorrow we are going to a port that not all ships go to because the tribe wants to keep things under a dull roar. Today's port had 2 other ships, that makes about 6000 people coming for a visit. Despite these numbers I did not feel crowded at all. Most of these folks got on buses and were taken on tours, plane and small boat rides, and other adventures.
At our next port we are going to a restaurant that features fresh caught crabs, I can hardly wait.
As we are moving along the coast most of what we see our large hills covered with trees, however yesterday we started seeing snow capped mountains behind these small hills. These mountains look rugged, lots of tall sharp peaks. I am so grateful the weather has been so clear that we are able to see the landscape.
